    1. Introduction

Defensible Space Score is a digital service owned and operated by AACI Group, Inc. As the provider of Defensible Space Score, AACI Group, Inc. is committed to respecting your right to delete your personal data and content. This Deletion Policy outlines how you can request deletion of your data or account from the Defensible Space Score platform, and how we handle such requests. All deletion requests are managed by AACI Group, Inc., the legal entity responsible for Defensible Space Score. This policy is intended to be consistent with applicable laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) and to give you control over your personal information.

    2. Your Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and account associated with Defensible Space Score, subject to certain exceptions outlined in this policy. This includes the right to delete any content you have uploaded to the platform (such as property photos) and any personal information you have provided (such as your name or email address, if provided).

    3. How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your data or account, please contact AACI Group, Inc. via email at legal@defensiblespacescore.com. In your request, please specify the data or account you wish to have deleted. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days, to confirm that the deletion has been completed or to provide further information.

    4. Data Deletion Process

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, AACI Group, Inc. will take the following steps:

    • Verify the authenticity of the request to ensure that the request is being made by you or an authorized representative.
    • Identify and delete the specified data or account from our active systems.
    • Take steps to ensure that the data is not accessible or used for any purpose after deletion.

    5. Exceptions to Deletion

There may be situations where AACI Group, Inc. cannot fully comply with a deletion request. These exceptions may include:

    • When retention is required by law or regulation (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).
    • When data is needed to protect the rights or property of AACI Group, Inc. or others (for example, to prevent fraud or abuse).
    • When deletion would impair our ability to provide the Service or would negatively impact other users.
    • When data has been aggregated or anonymized in a manner that it can no longer be associated with you.

In such cases, AACI Group, Inc. will inform you of the reason for not fully complying with the deletion request and will take steps to minimize the use and retention of the data to the extent possible.

    6. Data Retention After Deletion

After your data or account has been deleted, AACI Group, Inc. may retain certain information in our backup or archival systems for a limited period of time. This is done for disaster recovery purposes and to ensure the integrity of our systems. However, such data will not be actively used and will be securely isolated from further processing.
